Lol, a Blutorden eagle over not only a swastika but also holding runes and on a belt buckle to boot.
Someone wanted to cover all base. Yikes!

Ah, ok mate, these buckles came about in the 1970,s, Walther SS buckles or prototype SS buckles. It is said they were based on original prototypes but no original examples have been seen I believe, in my eyes these buckles were pure fantasy pieces. The Nash book and Angolia book are very good sources of information but in both books there are errors

The buckle did exist as a prototype. I was bidding on one at Manions about 16 years ago. It sold for around $7500. The fakes ones are interesting. I sold one on estand for $50. It sold very quickly.

These buckles are complete fantasy , there is absolutely no evidence of this design ever having been considered to my knowledge. $7500 around 1996 for a piece of rubbish like this just saddens me.

I can remember back in the early 1980's that one would be keel-hauled if one commented adversely on the ( retired )Lieutenant Colonel's publications .......... !!!!!!!!!!!!

The real prototypes are about the same size as a normal SS officers buckle. They aren't are large and flat like the copies. You can see a real ones in Angolias revised edition and in the French buckle book Gott Mit Uns. The one I was bidding on was on a Brocade belt.
