Sorry both are fakes IMO

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
hi thanks for your help
Number 2 is a well known fake , look at the numbers near to the makers mark which is the fakers initials and tel number , number 1 , no rope between the wing and head and the sharp triangular feathers are indicators of a fake.

Number 2 is the Tony Oliver fake....again! Blimey they're popping up a lot lately
And number 1 is a poor attempt , with artificial ageing to it
I agree with Paul

Matt
Callum, both are fakes, could you please post these in the fake SS thread? Thanks
