Here are mine and Jeff pics together, so you have the Steinhaur & Luck SS buckle RZM 63 and the M Winter DAF buckle RZM M4/2, who came first? The chicken or the egg? A long old debate but at some point hopefully it will emerge with evidence as to who actually made the buckles.
In my opinion the SS-buckle. Steinhauer & Lück did show a Neusilber SS-buckle with an
    early leaflet, as K 8966 45 mm.

    Hello collectors,

we all know other bucles from St.&L.

They have all similar features like box profile , post sleeves and ears .

IMO this RZM 63 SS buckle has total other features like any other buckles from M.Winter .

I know SA , DAF and DJ from this maker with the same features .

Why should be produzed a SS by Steinhauer with totaly other features as normaly ?????

Therefore IMO this RZM 63 SS buckle is a production of M.Winter with spezial contraktnumber for SS items .
    Regards ,
    Markus

    Hello yellow12,

can you prove by any document the SS code-system/contract-numbers already
were valid from about summer 1934 and spring 1935 with an eventual transitional
    period up to about 1936?
I then am apt to think/believe you are right!! If this code-system was valid
in a later period, I am not so sure about what you are telling! Just my opinion,
    but what the heck!
Who knows who made the dies? Maybe he did work for Steinhauer as well as
Winter and even other concerns (with specific terms and directions). Not all
concerns had their specific craftsmen in dye-making. Some of these concerns
    also had permissions (M2).

Gents, I know the RZM 57 buckle has SS marked under the prong sleeve, has anyone seen these under a RZM 63 buckle? Mine has a round mark under the prong sleeve, tomorrow I will make pics.

Well I took some pics after giving the buckle a clean, there is a faint circle there, not sure why as only one ring and no markings inside, has anyone else got this on a RZM 63 SS buckle?
