RODO SS Buckle in Black?

Dear Collectors!

I would really like to hear your opinions about this RODO SS buckle. I know of course the green and the less common blue painted variant, but a black RODO?

I have examined the whole buckle for remainings of green or blue paint and other signs of a repaint and found nothing.

Is this buckle another colour variant or just a modified piece?
Are there perhaps similar buckles for showing out there?

I dont know about anymore black RODO buckles but I can concur with Guido about the colour, I have had this buckle in my hands and the paint is indeed black!

No problem with this buckle! I like it!
Nearly everything is possible...black, green-painted...!
Maybe there were no more green paint, the took black!

Hello,
I have a black RODO SS as well, with a fair amount of paint left on it. I can find no trace of any green paint on front or back, and lots of period wear. A variant, I presume.

In the meantime I tend also to say that this is a third colour variant of the RODO SS buckle.

May you show images of your example? Is is also without the well known flaw in the right wing?
