a well patinated nickel silver buckle .

For whatever reason sometimes it was silver paint over the patina ........

It is a 35/36 Overhoff nickel buckle. Not as rare as a 36/36. One in nice condition it is about a $700-800 Buckle.

Indeed this was the price 20 years ago. Today if one is able to pay such price is either from someone not knowing what he/she has in hands or desperate to get money FAST....

. $700-800 is what I would pay. I look for good deals and I have never paid over $800 for a nickel SS. I would pay a lot more for some SS buckles but I will walk away if a deal isn't right.
