Hi!
The pictures are small sizes a bit.
Very similirar to 36/43 buckles.
Hi, I totally agree, I know very little about these buckles and have only one: a 36/43 - given by my uncle who found that after the war so I'm sure it's authentic. They do look very similar.
Sorry for the pictures, I will try to get some better ones.
The buckle is original
The cause of the reverse rust of the buckle, can be due to the storage but I remenber to have read that the last batches of this buckle type were painted only on his obverse, because of this, the reverse is more prone to oxidation
I may be being a little pharisaical, but shouldn't there be an RZM number stamp on the back?
Many thanks for the feedbacks and information.
Good to learn a bit about these buckles, I will probably go for it as the condition is reasonably good.
For reference
Ben
Impressively well conserved and very good reference !
Details are well to see. Here is the 36/43. The condition is not so good, but it was found in a heap of ash in Normandy right by my uncle when the germans were fleeing away. Unfortunately all the silver is burned and the poor storage condition made it very rusty. Still a good reference also.
A hard buckle to find
Ben
