    Hello Zeller

As many know, SS is not my field. I wonder however, is this Richard Sieper und Sohn (Lüdenscheid) SS 1937 or 1938? Really difficult to tell from the images.

The reason I ask is that I have a 822/37 where there is no "rope" to the left side (viewing) of the eagles head.

Are there different designs to the 822/37 ?

    Regards,

    David

I think "without rope" is the first design...

    Dear Emmanuel

Thankyou for the interesting information in relation to apparently, the two versions of this buckle. My apologies for being a tad Neanderthal here, however SS buckles really do not interest me and I tend not to research them, unlike say my favourite - the SA.

    Regards,

    David
