Hello Guys,
please have a look on these Belt Buckle.I´m not sure, is it a real one?
Marked with 36/40, is that "Gustav Sudbrack Bielefeld"?
Thanks for Help,
Nikolaus

Are these the only images that you hold? Perhaps the buckle is currently for sale and you have shown the dealers censored images? For myself at least, I would like to see some better, larger and fully illuminated images of the rear. Would that be possible?
The buckle by the way is not SS NCO and instead, was worn by the SS man rather than the SS leader. The marking 36/40 represents a 1940 manufactured buckle by Overhoff & Cie.

I genuinely "struggle" with these aluminium SS buckles Nikolaus, although I am sure that there are some advanced SS collectors/researchers who would recognise this buckle as original/fake instantly from the images that you have already shown. I have my opinion, although I would prefer to see some other clearer and detailed images if at all possible.

David
Hello,
here are a few new photos, please help to indentify for real or not!

Dear Nikolaus
In my opinion, an original Overhoff 1940 SS aluminium buckle.

These are by far the most difficult to detect
Original 36/40 Type 2 (what the above duplicates) are:
Length: 64.76 mm / 2.535 inches
Width: 48.34 mm / 1.890 inches
Fake:
Length: 62.14 mm / 2.475 inches (or anything less than 64 mm)
Width: 46.82 mm / 1.859 inches
just to check
