SS O&C belt buckle genuine?

This buckle is sold as original but I guess it would be a replica. I want and opinion some experienced collectors.

I can't help me but the buckle looks somehow odd. Could it be a heavy restored piece?

Wire of the catch is way too thick and the pin shroud and prongs constuction could be replaced.

can be ground dug cleaned and with new made pin roller barand C catch. but buckle itself is original olc early ss em buckle

I must admit I am a little intrigued by the buckle, I agree with Guido, the catch is too thick and the prongs dont look right for this type of buckle, could be a restored piece
