Unusual fake SS buckle

This one is unmarked apart from paper labels (as far as I can see) and is M4/108 44. Strange that although the detail on the front looks good, there is nothing on the back. Is this stuck on? Never seen anything like the peened rivets on the catch either.

Wow - with all the "trimmings" too ....... a lot of effort so why didn't they try a little harder on the buckle itself?

For the potential return on your investment you would think they would make it perfect - it really isn't that difficult - especially when you have already spent a ton of money making a bad copy.

Al, this is the exact fake as offered by Reddick Militaria, same exact wierd prongs attachment. The made-up tags have been added to the Reddick item.

This one and a similarly constructed Luftwaffe buckle can be found in the German Belt Buckle section of Epic Militaria. com and retail for £13.95 I believe.Featured also are some frighteningly good repros - the aluminium Heer is excellent but slightly smaller than an original .
