The whole thing looks good to me but the logo is questionable,, the logo distance is right,,but I dont remember seeing a shadow between the eickhorn Squirrels back and tail. A good example is on Lakesidetraders site and I attached a photo of another Himmler honor dagger. Not sure of this one but I could be wrong. I would like to hear other opinions on the shadow.

I have to lean towards Siegfried B's observation and wonder myself about the logo. On this piece, the logo looks awfully crudely done under closer magnification. This is a dagger that was made for Very prestigious presentation and yet the logo looks like it was done by a little kid. I can't say that I've ever noticed one with as significant shadowing between the body and the tail of the squirrel either, although, this could be put off to over done toning. The wood grip where it meets the top guard on the left in photo 8 looks odd too and is difficult to attribute to normal age shrinkage.
This piece, if it's good, has alot of potential, but I'm not totally comfortable accepting it. It Could be good...but it has alot of questionable points to it as well.

Thanks for the input...I definitely see what you guys mean about the 'shadow' on the squirrel. What can I do to provide further info?
