Hello and welcome to the forum.
Everyone likes seeing SS daggers, any chance to see some more and closer photos please, especially of the details?
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
I second that!! more close ups,, but one thing I am 90% sure about the the one scabbard without the chain, is an NSKK scabbard as the Brown anodizing is showing through. Please if possible show us close ups of the grip eagle the runes buttons, tang nut and front and back of Chain assembly....sorry for such a tall order regards Larry
Interesting examples. Although photos are hard to judge,, and can not compare to an in hand inspection,,I have a few reservations. May I ask where you acquired these 2 examples? Regards Larry
What are your reservations?
On the Chained SS the links are close to being ..or what is considered a Type C variation,, as there were 4 variation types. This example is commonly known as a Type I. On this type of Variation,, this is the first time i have seen the SS runes practically touching the link holes. The other 3 variations do not even come close as they are deemed the Type II. Everything else appears to be standard. Again, photos are hard to judge as photo flash washes out the image,, and because of this it is hard to judge if the chain is the plated type or not.
Can you tell me which grip belongs to which dagger as i see a lighter colored grip compared to the other one which is darker. Regards Larry
Siegfried,Please don't give this guy a heart attack!
Sorry - but the eagle ( second last pic) on one of the daggers looks strange -Could you please place close-up pics WITHOUT GLARE AND MOVEMENT OF THE DETAIL?
Greet
The easiest way to solve this is take the daggers outside for pics... all these questions will be answered with proper pictures. Also nobody is trying to put down your daggers.. they just want to make sure all is well, and that you didn't get snookered.
