This is looking a little odd to me, the handle is ill fitting, the eagle has a glue stain around it, the top nut is badly damaged which lends me to assume that it has been removed a number of times without any care taken, the chain im not sure on, but theres something about it that i dont think is right, i could be wrong on this but i think its a parts dagger with a fake chain perhaps, as for the blade i will leave that to others to comment

I agree,I do not like the way the blade fits into the scabbard, and the chain looks new.If this is a good dagger it would go for 6 to 8 grand maybe more.

Original bits, but a parts dagger with some restoration in my opinion. The grip clearly has issues and the dagger to scabbard fit is poor, as already pointed out.

    Cheers, Ade.

Many thanks all, do you think it has a value in its current state?

Going to give it a miss but interesting for the future searching.

I think that if it is a parts dagger it must be worth something, but as a beginning collector I would save my money for a nice original. They will always increase in value.Just my opinion

From the pictures I would guess that the dagger is original. But it seems it fell into the hands of a backyard mechanic wannabee with defective eyesight using the wrong tools. When the blade is cocked over to one side it indicates that the lead is missing or the thoat screws are too short. There may be other problems but from what I see but it needs a hands on assessment.
