Re: 1st SS Dagger RZM 807/36 SS
You Lost your cherry,,Welcome to the darkside Scott. I deem this all early construction and craftmanship. This was IMO the end of the line when it came to quality. I really like how the paint has worn off on the back of the scabbard which shows character and use. The wood is nice also which shows period wear. I cant say much about the initials AO,,which looks recent but overall a great dagger which is a hard maker to find. Great pickup and congrats again!! Scott!...........Regards Larry

An excellent dagger-I like the "AO" personalization on the grip. I wonder if it is from the owner or the capturer? The nickel construction makes it especially solid and impressive. One thing, though, that caught my eye-has the buckle and strap on the hanger been replaced? It's condition and appearance does not seem to match the rest of the hanger-such as the lower loop.

Nice work, Scott
Good to see you have taken plunge on a nice looking SS piece.
Something I would love to own...... Maybe one day!
Did you find it here in the UK, or is it from further afield?
Chris.
Hi Chris,
Thanks for your kind words mate, this dagger came from Italy (Rome)
Very hard to find a decent SS dagger here in the UK at a reasonable price imo.

Hi Wagriff,
Thanks for your opinion & kind words, i would like to believe that the inscribed AO into the grip was the SS mans initials but we will never know if that is the case or not, the top strap/buckle on the vert has more age cracking from use maybe than the bottom strap as that does not get used as much as the top strap, the rivet on the buckle matches the rivets on the Vert, this is the way the Vert came to me & i,m happy with it
