Like to see closer shots of handle , insignia etc, at first glance not looking too bad, but the lower crossguard looks to be a different colour unless its the flash

I think it is ok too, but the lower crossguard really does look mis-matched.

Perhaps it was manufactured with old and newer spec parts, ( solid nickel
vs plated metal ) or it has been over-cleaned removing the plating.
Maybe only the top piece was buffed up, but it's also possible
that one of the guards has been replaced.

Price somewhere between $2000 and $3000, I'd guess.........

If you double click on the pics, they will enlarge. You can then see someone has started to clean the upper crossguard, hence the difference in patina. You can see some of the yellow patina still in place. Might be nicotine from being in a smokey household.

Overall, it looks OK.

Again my pet hate hate, the dagger in the scabbard the wrong way around.

One is almost tempted to go ahead and clean the other guard. As it is now,it makes it look odd. But,ignoring that,the scabbard looks to be in excellent shape-the ball tip,in particular,shows no sign of denting or crushing as is so often the case with these from being dropped. The grip also shows no obvious flaws and exhibits no hanger banging damage and even the rune button looks smooth. A decent overall looking Model 33. Finish cleaning it and put a nice vertical hanger on it and you'ld have a nice addition to your collection. A shame there isn't an ID number on it as well. William

ya the lower crossguard was over polished at some time in its life , both top & bottom are plated metal . trying to fix the one photo ,but i cant change or add any pics . thanks for all of your input , it will be added to my colletion by the morning. thanks agian, Lamont
