    Its not mint and mint dagger collectors would run a mile but i bought it because its got its own piece of history and was not from a store room,and was i think quite cheap,this i got from the vets family he brought it home from the ruins of berlin ,it then spent 60 odd years in a loft, its now with me, not everybodys taste but it is ss, rgds Dave

    Hi Dave, as you say, not to everyone's taste, but it is original and is what it is, an SS dagger.

    Hi Luis, the numbers on the blade are not SS serial numbers for an SS man, but are the contract number for the dagger maker.

    SS serial numbers stamped on the crossguard are researchable. I have two researched SS daggers in my collection.
