The scabbard throat has been changed out and this dagger opened many times. Not a good sign and no telling how many hands have been on it.
No need to cover over the swastika on the grip ..this forum purely studies history in its full capacity and the WRF is not Ebay or other restrictive sites that frown upon the showing of a swastika.
The blade is severely pitted and hopefully as you say you did not pay much for this dagger and would expect less than what you have paid.
