An older collector I know is the owner of this one. It was offered to me and I politely declined the other day. I suppose it could have been hanging around HH house in a drawer in the kitchen but I doubt it as well. Any way you look at it, the runes were added by its owner to "improve" it's image. Thanks for all your thoughts on this one. I must say it would definitely be a unique item in my junk drawer in my kitchen. Lol
Thanks Anzel...Joking aside if the price was right without the SS Rune I would buy the pocket knife as I love all blades. Paying the period knife price for it of course. To me the rune, letter & HH story just detract from it and would spook me away. So the million dollar question???
What would you all pay for the knife alone with no letter, no HH Story & no SS rune?

In unaltered state, missing it's bail, it becomes simply an older Klaas kissing cranes camp knife. Value? Nothing extraordinary...maybe 10 bucks? Certainly nothing higher..

I've seen many older jigged bone pocket knives
go for $30 - which is fair - and a lot more.
Lol - I'd pay $10 with the runes........

You don't want to know what he paid for it in 1990 something. Your jaw would drop. I feel bad for him.
Yes, we do.........

I know you guys are keeping it entertaining....I see no issues with that...just goes to show how good people get pulled in by deception. I'm sure he would have liked the opinions of everyone here before dropping over a grand. Ohh well, that's why I appreciate all the members here!
