Fake SS-Dienstdolch Modell 1936?
This is claimed to be a 1936 dagger. It looks too new, and the blade has no discernable graining and little stippling behing deaths heads . I am assuming a fake, and won't bother asking for close-up detail of the handle and back of the links. Am I right on this?

The first photo...handle to cross guard looks off! Just my .02 cents! Everything is shinny and new!!

Hi Al, I would like to see some better close up pics. Clearly it has been cleaned.
Don't get hung up on crossgraining. Not all dagger makers left this in place, some polished it out.
