i personaly think the answer to this is you cant without damaging the anodised finnish ,, the only thing you can do is stop it from getting any worse ,, you have to cut of oxsygen from the rust ,, i think the best way to do that is a thin coat of vasline .
some of the guys who have had this problem before may have some better answers for you cheers ian
