My ss dagger
My ss dagger
she's a bit salty. i cant see the details very well due to rust and pic's but it looks to be a type 1 because of the link holes. one thing that caught my eye and bug's me, is the top connector links on the chain where it connects to the knot. i would have thought the links would be taperd a bit on the knot side because of the rounded hole. and not as it shows. but i have been wrong before.
andrew
i see what you mean andrew ill get some better pic,s on
hi andrew the hole on the knot is flat under the link and not rounded do you no if some were made like that
Very nice piece Brocky.
cheers greg i was getting worred
The chain is a type 1 chain if you look inside the upper clover leaf you will see the letters DRGM inside,, this designates a type 1 chain and the connectors are correct for this type chain. The tapered connector links that Andrew has commented on are Type 2 design and no DRGM in side the clover leaf with a shallow depth. Tom Wittmanns SS book is a great reference on the subject.. Larry
thanks larry
Angus has started another thread about this dagger: sadly it has an SA gruppe marked lower crossguard which is not apparent here.
