Re: Need advice on SS dagger
Denmark can be outrageous when importing a German dagger in as well, so Norway could well also be a headache. As said earlier, you'd best check with the local customs regulations and legal requirements before going ahead and trying it. You might save yourself alot of money and headache.

Re: Need advice on SS dagger
Lakeside trader says he can ship to Europe without problems.
- What do you expert think about this dagger?
https://www.lakesidetrader.com/item.php?ID=7283
Is the price reasonable for this quality and brand?
There are 2 alternatives on the Classifieds on this forum:
1. Added 2 days ago, 2350$ but has been sharpened
https://www.warrelics.eu/classifieds...mesfahr/cat/15
2.This one has been on offer for a long time, looks good but why has it been on sale for so long?
https://www.warrelics.eu/classifieds...-hanger/cat/15
Again, your help here would be invaluable! :-)

Re: Need advice on SS dagger
Thx for the custom advice, I do (not so fondly) remember that they flog you viciously when importing items above a given price range.... :-\
Will certainly check up on it.

Re: Need advice on SS dagger
Well, I have ordered my first 2 daggers from the Lakesidetrader;
https://www.lakesidetrader.com/item.php?ID=7283
Also had him ship me this NSKK dagger:
https://www.lakesidetrader.com/item.php?ID=7480
Really looking forward to this! Found my first relic when I was 8 years old and dug the floor in an old German bunker in Norway, a live Mauser round.
..my mother was thrilled!-) When I was 12 I bought a Mauser bayonet from a second hand shop for ~45$. Always loved to admire the smell of oiled steel.
In the old days before the Internet I thought the inscription R. Herder 1938 meant that the bayonet belonged to someone called R. Herder :=)
Took me even longer to figure that the scabbard and bayonet had different producers; E. Pack & S / R. Herder.
Slowly the mysteries have unveiled themselves, but I hope new ones will appear - despite the Internet..
Again, thx for the help and support

Will do!

Re: Need advice on SS dagger
You did well Pzb!...I especially like the August Bickel,,as I collect SAs / NSKKs myself. This maker is known for its hard contours on its oak grip. A quality dagger! Regards Larry
