I don't see any chained SS guys? I thought this was a new bondage section!
Looks more like the plating has worn off to the brass underneath. It seems a strange thing to be considering buying without doing lots of research in advance IMHO.

Hi Kevin, lots of problems with this one. Walk away.
Grip, eagle fit to grip, grip to crossguard fit, "I" distribution area mark on crossguard (should not be on a 36 pattern dagger), odd finish as observed by Jerry. And as Vedran has stated pommel nut replaced.

I would say the scabbard is a typical nickel over brass fake which of course brass was never used only steel or solid nickel.
grips looks like it may stand half a chance, also the crossguards.
swerve it anyway.
