Original German SS/SA dagger maker made fakes?
I remember reading a few years ago that one of the original makers of the SS and SA daggers found the original acid etching plates in the factories archives and began creating fake presentation daggers, with inscriptions? Does anyone have more information on this?

Some producers that have not felt the long punishing arm of the Allied bombing did have surviving plates..and some blades were made for returning Vets to take home as souvenirs. Great topic of question cool miitaria Regards Larry

I had heard the family member (grandson?) that discovered the plates had bought the correct period daggers that were originally made in his factory and began to etch the special inscriptions onto period pieces, thus making a lot of money, but flooding the market with highly sought after pieces, Roehm inscription daggers, etc... Can anyone remember the scandal?
