While it's unfortunate that the news was not better, if all bets were this safe - the next stop should be the Casino de Monte-Carlo.

We are not certain. He is a Vietnam vet. When done with his tour he spent time in Germany in the Army. We assume he got it there. Its a shame it is a fake. We are trying to recoup money to help pay off bills. Is it worth anything?
He was diagnosed with cancer 8 weeks before his death. He had a lot of health issues form agent orange exposure in Vietnam. He was a crew chief of several helicopters. Some of which were used to spray the agent.
I have another blade that is a long stiletto type blade. It has 2 birds facing each other and below it is stamped Robiklaas Soligen Germany. No handle just the blade.

Even as a repro it does have a very small value, maybe $50? Others will be able to advise better on this.
