Hi Will..welcome to the forum...unfortunately the dagger is a current repro found in souveneir shops. The dagger is pretty beaten up to tell if period fittings may have been used to spiff it up. Below is a link to a thread of a Herder SS dagger.

Also take the opportunity to read through some of the SS daggeer threads within this sub forum..you will see that the details of any SS dagger overall..does not match your dagger..or what a Herder Dagger expected to appear as. Wow that's bad... but probably just good enough to fool someone who doesn't know anything about these. And luckily for them, there's this forum.
just remember when you see a SS dagger... they look real nice. A quality piece, even the later once.
