Hi Socor ..this dagger has been obviously pulled apart and disassembled. Seeing this I would say..this is not an untouched example..that commands a market price of near $5000 US. Not at all. I would not have it in my collection just on that one point.

The Tab skull is not consistent with a Type C plated version from later in the period.
You will see the differences in detail between yours and what is commonly seen from the one in the red back ground.

The chain assembly IMO has been added to and taken away from. The tab connectors are recent braising of solder.
Too many concerns which i will not point out too much more as the fakers read this also. Please read this thread here for further detail of Tab details

Chained SS Study of the 4 Chain types

The Blade through the overpolishing appears to be Authentic SS..but I can not confirm if this is a Chained SS unmarked Blade or a SS Ground Rohm. The blade is severely worn down to prove otherwise.

Lastly the over all image that kills this dagger in any hope of passing it off as authentic..is the sloppy solder job in the photo below showing spill over onto the other fittings . the small globules seen below

In agreement with Larry, including the part about not providing too many clues for "product improvements" to those who are making the fakes. Best Regards, Fred

    Thanks, Larry!
The mark on a chain seems to me fake.

The blade seems to be an original " M36 " blade, the blossom mark is also known on unmarked one's.
