Hi Tom welcome to the forum..sorry to say this dagger is made up of what I can see only 2 or 3 authentic parts. The blade the grip eagle and possibly the grip itself but the rest are modern reproductions added to create something that that never was.

The Blade being an early type is desirable among early SS dagger collectors. There are very many comparable threads here on this SS forum. It is my hope you did not purchase this dagger. This early Maker dagger will start in the $3000 range. I can assume..there may be a MUCH LESSER price tag attached to this dagger.

These early type dagger s had the best grip to cross guard fit..which if you look above on the top guard on your photo..that there is a gap seen. To include in that same photo..that guard is a modern plated reproduction. early Crossguards were made up of Nickel silver and by no means is this guard made of that content. Peppering and lifting of the plating can be seen with a sharp eye. Nickel does not do that.

There are late SS dagger types that used the plated silver types and yet even the later types....the difference can be seen in the plating content..and casting techniques. This guard and i assume the other one are poorly cast..which originally these type of Souvenier daggers can be found in gift shops in many locations. Someones poor attempt to replicate a classic is easily identifiable among the SS dagger collectors. This one is junk !

This dagger is a bad looking mix of different periods, and as Larry stated, repro and orginal parts dagger.
We have a few sound examples posted here at our forum, if you would just taken some time and look at all the reference daggers here, then your post would not be made.....all it takes is a little effort....use whats already here....study....or loose money!
