Original repro!!........sorry to say this is one of these that are commonly found at flea markets and Cheap knife stores. Mainly......No Chained SS daggers were ever produced with an RZM number..as some were without producers logos and some were fitted with a standard em SS. This example is wrong all around...the grip eagle style..runes button..Motto lettering...blade dexterity...etc etc. worth about $30 US. Thanks for posting. Regards Larry

I notice two SS daggers in the pics - perhaps the non-chained
version is a good one ? Better photos would help.........

Not even close to the quality steel used in the real SS Daggers. Fakes
As Steve said, the unchained model 33 may stand a chance, but, if anything, it looks like a total parts dagger. From the distant photos, it looks to have the usually seen dropped sheath ball squish but the sheath fit to the dagger is very poor, so they obviously do not go together. It's even possible that the sheath may not even Be an SS at all, but a poorly painted SA/NSKK? Even the runes roundel is slightly cocked but in the opposite direction that it should be....
As for the chained '36? Well....let's just say, that if it ever saw German soil at all, I'm thinking it was from on the Chinese plane flying over Germany on the way to drop off it's cargo...
