Elmer's wife Grace Lundgren passed away last evening at 98 years young. May she rest in peace with her Brave Soldier.

I have spoken to family and they did not know but we are asking more questions of the Mattson family as well. His wife just passed in December at 98. If I would have asked her a few years ago she may have known.

Thanks, with my Gramps the same way. I was a kid and heard so many stories, but no one bothered to document what German division he fought, prisoner of war camp etc. Most important of course he survived the war in which only 3-4 of every 10 made it home. He was a farmer for goodness sake and that a$$ AH made them all fight.
