I need help if someone can let me know if this dagger is original, it is missing the chain and the blade has been cleaned a lot.
and what would be the estimated price on this type of dagger in this condition?
thank you all for help

Does every issued SS Officer dagger comes stamped with it's number???
Thanks
I think that you need to show close up shots of the dagger, it would really help.

i am sorry but this is the best i can do,
Hi Ado, from the pics shown, I would give it a cautious thumbs up.
Value on broken daggers is hard to estimate. Personally, I would only advise you to buy it if it was cheap. But it would not be for me. I would knock at least a third off the market value for a complete dagger. If you intended to restore it, a chain, if one could be found, would not be cheap.
SS daggers were only authorised by Himmler to have the owners serial number applied for a short period of time. So each man, if he got around to it, and most did not, either did it himself or paid a jeweller or the like to do it for him.
Hope this helps?
Cheers, Ade.
Thanks Ade,
