Thanks for replays...i thought that in type 1 also dagger fittings should be plated as well as the chain...thanks for clarification:-)

As a rule chained ss daggers are plated as they were based on the 36 model. Ive seen a few early solid nickel versions but they are rare and very much in demand!

Usually the nickel version have the type 2 chain though.

Nice dagger, the middle and top scabbard fitting is the plated type, as is the chain.

Bottom fitting is most likely plated, but it looks greenish so maybe nickel.
