Ok, I still don't get it. Try as I might there are just too many variances to follow.
It does not belong to me, but the owner has asked for some advice. These are the only photos I have.
Personally I say no, what are your thoughts, and why?
    thanks

Your vibe is right....bad. Contemporary fake decal applied to faux finish in my opinion. Sorry. Repro strap too.

Bad decal purposly scuffed up to give it age

John, taking the overall patina into account, ( and disregarding the accuracy of the decal for the moment ) for me nothing sits well together.
That decal has not been there forever - there is no settling into its surrounds and it sticks out like dogs testicles - I say ( pity ) that it was a reasonable ND M42 that some muppet has buggered up!

Edit .... no, I think Nigel has it - the finish has possibly been messed with too. More photos would confirm.

Well. ...... my thoughts too . Apart from that it purports to be a camo rare as hens teeth. And agreed the chin strap is also bad. Tis a pity though.

Hi John , as you already now know , this is another fake Pocher type decal. A ckl helmet should have an ET type decal , I hope this doesn't get put on the market anytime soon to "fleece" someone , even if they should know better before parting with the cash! Leon.
