Genuine SS helmet or fake

Hi folks.. I'm looking to buy this SS helmet but would like to hear other peoples opinion on whether it's a fake or an original.. unfortunatly these are the only photos I have. Thank you in advance.

Agreed. The liner looks to be dry and cracked, so that could be a negotiating point, but the exterior, and especially the decal look good. Good luck. Jim G.

I know you have been on the hunt for a long time for a decent SS helmet, and this one is really nice.

The decal looks really nice and x2 experienced collectors (above) also believe it to be good.
Is the price acceptable?

Hi Nick,
Yes, I've been looking for a longtime. I did find a couple but the price was too high for me. I have been offered this one at £3000 which I thought was a really good price as most of I've seen were £4500+.

I think the lot num is 2487, photos supplied of the interior were not the best.

Now I've had the heads up from experienced collectors I'm going go forward with the purchase and once I've received it I will add further detailed photos for everyone to check out.

I think the price is pretty good - the liner may be a bit rough, but the condition of the decal makes up for this.
I definitely paid more for my SS EF M42, which is the first of the links I posted above.
