I'm in a great mood over this helmet - not over it's potential value, but by the sheer rarity of it.
I would guess a lower end BMW or Mercedes, but I'm not really a car guy. More money than I have, that's for damn sure!
My guess is he got it in or under the $300 price range easily... Maybe mega rare, but what a bummer it looks like a kid tried to scratch the decals off, and thankfully stopped.
What he paid for it is irrelevant, and with all due respect, it is also his private business. Who cares?

But - guys, feast your eyes. This is a helmet collectors dream. You have a better chance being struck by lightning in a field of 4 leaf clovers riding a unicorn at the end of a rainbow.
