    Default High Quailty Repro SS Helmet?

    Hi
    I was told this is a postwar police shell made repro SS helmet.There is one marker like "LS" and "64" on the rear of shell.An eagle marker over SS and number "56" on the leather liner. One number "40" on leather chinstrap.Any idea will be appreciated,thanks.

    the helmet its self is a genuine German helmet but is a post war version that someone has dressed up to look like a WW2 SS version hope you dident pay too much for it ????

    hi Kev ,if it were mine i would remove the chicken wire and that very bad fake decal (which isnt strait any way) and i would enjoy the helmmet for what it is ,
    a nice condition post war helmet , but its yours so its up to you

    Thanks for help.I got it for about $100,I will try to take off the decal, What kind of remover do you recommend?do I need any tool to do it?

    BTW, Is there any idea about this chinstrap and liner ? Are they cheap repro one?thaks

    this helmet would be great for reenactors. if you want to make a profit off of it you could try selling it to a reenactor for 150 to 200 bucks but ONLY AS A FAKE. try going to ww2aa.com if you want.

    It's all post war. It's not even a HQ fake.

    I would try to weather it some and maybe add some mud camo and it will make a nice display.
