This is offered to me and now I want to know, if it is a good one and if not, how I can recognize this.

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

The only thing orignal here is the shell. Paint, decals, liner, chinstrap are all bad.

Please see pics of good original decals on the forum to see the difference.

Thank you for this helpfull answer. There are so many traps and money-eating fakes running around. I for example, bought some crap in believing to get an authentic thing. But this is collector-beginners fate, I think.

A DD SS helmet and camo would be very very rare,would be very expensive price of a new car.
But the one you have is not good.

Welcome to the forum, this is far from original as Ade has pointed out. Note the round bottom of the SS runic decal and how high the circle is on the party shield. Those are 2 simple things to look for and will weed out 75% of the bad fakes out there. The paint is postwar, look at some of the repetitive scratching on it. The liner is a fake, note the color and cut. It takes time to identify many of the nuances but there are some basics to watch out for.

Also if it is too good to be true 99% of the time it usually is.
