Good morning all; my first post here, so please treat me gently! My attention was attracted by this, which I've seen for sale locally- an M35, stamped ET66 and 1062, but the decals seem to have been thinly overpainted. The Runes are there on the right, but on the left it looks like a red cross (possibly Belgian red cross?) And as for that liner - like nothing I've seen! What do you make of it?

Not one I'd want. The liner and rivets have been replaced postwar. Don't know by who or when. I'd also regard the SS runes with a high degree of suspicion. The whole shell looks as if it has received an overpaint.
Am not a 'helmet guy', so I can't speculate further.

Hi, welcome to the forum, as said not an SS helmet, the liner is a civil use type so as mentioned most likely a post war re-paint for the fire service or alike. Leon.
