can any one link me a pic of the helmet/decals that would be worn by ss adolf hitler regiment ? that would go with the M43 uniform issue?

The LAH wore the standard issue Waffen SS steel helmet. No difference from those issued to other units.

By 1943 you would most likely see a single decal example being worn.

Here is one from my collection, a single decal M40.

There is a picture in the Ludwig Baer book that I believe he said was from the 1rst SS LAH in Russia that shows double runic decals on what appear to be M35 or M40 shells. Obviously, not all of the 1rst SS had double runic helmets, or far more would have survived the War. Jim G.

Hello, anyone has any opinion on this Helmet, real or fake, The inner skull is stamped "3?58". I don't know why one number is erased???

The missing number is just badly stamped. This is not unusual to see. Often these lot numbers do not come out clearly.

I don't like the white paint etc.

The paint is far too new looking and hides features of the decal.

Real shell etc. Don't like the chinstrap or loose liner either.

How real would a helmet with fake paint and a fake decal be to you ?
