M1918 Cut-out helmet with early runes

Hello everyone,
I have what I believe to be a M1918 cutout pattern helmet, with the early wet transfer runes. Unfortunately, the runes were partially sanded off some time ago. I have not found any stampings or other markings on the shell. The number 26 is hand written twice on the back of the 9 tab liner in blue (now green) ink. The band appears to be zinc plated as it has not rusted. Black paint remains on the shell and rivets but the inside crown appears to be feldgrau. I'm looking for any input on the piece as info in print and online is a bit lacking. I feel myself, that it was produced in the twenties (as I am told many were) and the finish dates to the '34-'36 era. The previous owner assured me that it was in service in WWI and later in the SS, but I have no proof other than the helmet itself. Pictures attached

The proportions of this helmet are far from accurate. The seller fed you a load of crap & if I were
you I would be pursuing a refund.

VERY BAD fake. Nothing is original, including the shell, which is a well known modern Indian repro. Get your money back from the seller. I will add some pictures of real ear cut out helmets tomorrow so you will be able to see the differences between them and this terrible knock off.
