Hello everyone

As much as I study the helmets and ask on militaria fairs to see and "feel" or learn the originals
one can never be sure about some decals when it's seen on internet eSSpecially if it's a ss helmet.
I will provide more photos of the decal which I predict will probably be neceSSary to clearly understand if it's legit or not.

It is important with any German helmet to ask for the maker stamp. Each maker had its house decals , it makes it easier to check for yourself if the design fits the helmet.
I can tell you this decal is not original.

Thanks for the replies folks although Schwerpunkt thinks it's a fake and unfortunately he's probably right
I will wait for more opinions and decide definitely if to take this helmet or not. Chances are 1 out of 10 that it's a genuine one
since another red flag is the price, too low for such item..
But maybe there's a tiny little chance that it's all real mc coy
and that the seller was in good mood and didn't bother about the price... hmm..
a "hmmm" and doubts usually never end up good.. hmmm..

The decal is not good imo. The shell looks to be in semi relic condition with the hair-line cracks and paint over pitting.

Anyone ever see an original zinc coated steel liner band rust like that ? I never did especially with intact leather. Decal looks like a cross between ET & Q

I certainly dont like the liner the decal is off in some ways.

Looks a lot like a round bottom fake I got stiffed with in my early collecting days ........
