    It looks similar to a helmet I saw today at the gun show. Which was East German transitional helmet used for police. The liner is identical. The rough finish however, is indictitive of a proper combat helmet.

    Well, as Dave said, this is a re-furbed lid with a fake liner and
    a well known fake SS decal. This type of fake decal and also the round bottom fake SS decal are common on fake helmets.
