the decal appears to be painted on and doesnt appear to be a national tricolour , this appears to be a different colour maybe a foreign emblem its puzzled me,it looks the same colours as the badge below it, any liners still in them ? cheers Dave
the runes decal in the first pic seems to be a bit wonky to me
all helmets where bathed in 20% oxalic acid (it makes the rust "melt" leaving the paint underneath untoched)
This national shild on the third helmet is ofcourse Latvijan. There are no lines , it is hand-painted, so I think.
The helmets looks like a nice catch from a Latvian camp. The tricolor is definately Latvian, and I would say I have no doubts about them. Very interesting regimental Latvian badge, I think our Latvian collegues would recognize it. And als looks like a Latvian scull...

Awesome finds , a great days digging , smiles alround i bet , cheers Raymond
I congratulate you. I can see that you're very knowledgeable about thoes helmets....hahahahaahha
The Latvian shield is not a decal and is hand painted by the owner. The condition of the helmets and decals looks to me authentic, but anyway that would be great to see a close- up pictures of the decals
