Hello all, I thought as I am on holiday and the weather is good I would follow Andy and do a re-shoot of my pride and joy, a ckl66 m42 ET pattern decal SS helmet. I attempted to show the dome stamp but it is very faint , the liner band is dated 1943.I particularly like the combat wear(picture 4) that seems to show a "glancing" blow from gravel/dirt etc that has hit this lid at a high velocity!! I hope you enjoy these new pictures. Leon.

A nice example that still retains alot of patina and real combat wear.

Thank you gentlemen, it made a nice change to get hold of a piece that has not been contrived to give the impression of "combat used"! Leon.

I still have the M40 SD Heer I got from you a couple of years back Samir - I guess my leases are more long term ( or maybe it is because the pickings are so slim down under that we doggedly hang onto what we have? )

    Cheers, Dan

I'm not surprised. Most of the helmets I sold are still in the same collections. I get bored quick and I like to experienced new helmets. For me to keep a helmet, it has to be either super rare or comes with a good story.
