It looks rather good, but isn't the chicken wire American stylee.....? Often thought of as a bit of a red flag I understand.
'I do not think we can hope for any better thing now.
We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.
Last Entry - For God's sake look after our people.'
In memory of Capt. Robert Falcon Scott, Edward Wilson, Henry Bowers, Lawrence Oates and Edgar Evans. South Pole Expedition, 30th March 1912.
Unfortunately the decal is not an authentic one.
There's something not right here...the shell doesn't quite look like a German M42 shell...there's no flared edge, the vent-holes are too small...the 3 split pins don't look right, and the decal is bad...does anyone else see this?
Maybe a Spanish helmet someone decided to upgrade?
It looks more like a Spanish shell than a German one...
There is no lot numbers or maker stamps I see either on the inside skirt. Maybe a reenactor piece?
I think it's a reworked Spanish Modelo Z....
Thanks for the help. Anyone know what its worth?
