Opinions on SS decal?

Hi all, this is my first post although I have been a member for a while now and have enjoyed reading your opinions and viewing your various collections (especially the 'wall o helmets' !). I have been offered this helmet from a guy in the UK but my first instinct was that the shield is too rounded at the bottom, although he insistent that it was a recent attic find - don't they always! Would really appreciate any input anyone would like to share, thanks, Chris

The first decal is the "round bottom" fake, the second is a genuine EF decal.
I think yours is the same as the first one - sorry

Dan, the bottom one is an "ET" pattern decal, not EF.

Heres a pic of the round bottom fake SS decal before its artificially aged. I happen to collect different types of fakes for my study and research.

Yes the decal in the first pic is fake. I've got this one as well Samir, under ADM it's terrible!

Hi Doug,

I'm sure it's bad. I have yet to put this one under the scope, been busy with my side business, but when I have sometime I'll check it out, I'm curious to see how bad it is.

Thanks for your replies, I knew deep down it was too good to be true and when you have that feeling you're nearly always right! Guess I will just keep looking.
