This looks to be a nice Quist SD helmet.

Any thoughts/comments?

Hi, yes, I think you are right, looks like a good Quist decal to me, just toned from what appears to be a layer of oil or alike that was put onto the helmets surface some time ago to "preserve" it. It is also "bang in" the Quist R series range for single decal SS M40 helmets. Leon.
