Hi, a slightly mis-shapen decal, but it looks like a good Quist to me with consistant wear patina as said above. The "points" to the runes are varying in sharpness which is a good sign and their positioning to the shield break also looks ok. Leon.
Hi, Q66 31422 is listed as both an SS single decal helmet and a no decal helmet in the lot numbers list. Leon.

No it just means that examples of this lot number have been observed with having both no decals and SS decals. Lot # research is only a guide and not absolute.
The good news is as Leon notes, that there are known originals within this lot number having an SS decal. But as always, every helmet/decal has to stand up to scrutiny on its own.
