SS M40 Relic

    So excited, something to finaly post in the SS helmet forum....

    Couple of shots in my excitement!!! VERY solid shell....

    Thanks for that.....I'm still learning the intricacies of the helmet manufacturers....the Luft lid is a Q

    Looking at my pics there is a definite similarity in the Luft and SS

    It has a liner....a 1943 dated liner that is not original to the helmet......the member I bought it off had a old relic liner from another helmet that he had placed in this shell.....it is in firly good nick, with a lot of the leather still intact

    I have some relic liner pins that are still useable...so I may be able to fit the liner, but be able to return it to its originsl non liner condition without damaging it

    It staying with me forever and ever

    It's on my shelf and everytime I walk past I gotta stop and look.......sorry, but it's very exciting for me!!!! If only my M40 KM shell wasn't in storage
