Do you have the lot number? It looks good from what I see, but the lot number and a nice clear close up shot of the decal would help to increase the confidence level Jim G.
Hi Jim, thanks for reply. Will upload a closer shot of decal. Im struggling with light and to get much closer with the camera I have at the moment but will have a go.
It seems to be stamped 1_33 and I am struggling to ID the 2nd digit unless thats all there is at the rear?
Jim,
Added some decal pics, hope they are ok?
Thanks,
Matt
Any further ideas regards the M42 would be great?
Thank you all
Matt
Sorry Jim, I added 3 of the decal to original group.
Would I be better getting a different camera and trying again as it is my own helmet.
Recently read something that got me worried for some reason!
Thanks,
Matt
i thought ET didnt produce ss m42 lids
Are you sure that's not an EF helmet? The poor strike of the lot and markings make it appear to be an EF. There are no recorded ET stamped factory decaled M42 SS helmets I am aware of. There are however plenty of SS EF M42 helmets with factory applied ET decals.
I cannot tell if that's a good decal. The pics must be clear, in focus and no flash glare at all. As Jim says it has a chance but needs much better pics.
Looks like an EF to me , it's certainly worth getting better pics from this helmet.
